As an artist, my goal is to capture the essence of the subject in my craft, working with concepts that explore otherworldly creatures and playing upon the links they have to society. I believe art is bringing to surface the inner workings of a person, their fingerprints, but not just in a literal sense. It exhibits a style that is unique to the creator and makes their personalized mark visible. It’s a way of transforming the inner tastes and experiences of a person into a concrete body of work which is then able to be shared with the world.

I am a graduate of the Victoria College of Art and the Aveda Institute of Victoria. I grew up in the Okanagan Valley, but have lived in Victoria for eleven years. I’m a calm, inquisitive, creative mind who draws inspiration through nature and spiritually based things. I’ve always had the need to create and express myself through visual arts. I first started getting recognition for my artistic skills through my portraiture and my unique illustrative style. I am always looking to innovate my artistic practice through new mediums, however painting and illustration are where I excel.

To visit the grave of my pioneer Poor Clare has not been my privilege. I thank you for taking me there. A feeling & sense of joy was my initial reaction upon seeing St. Clare as you saw/ see her. It was at supper in our refractory, in incandescent light. I see her before me now lit indirectly by a cloudy, morning sunlight. The gold of the monstrance & the autumn gold of the tree behind her envelopes her. And that is who she is... Held in the love of her God whom she is holding- her Protector & Lord. Her All, who became for her the way. You have captured this in her face. She is secure. No harm will come to her... or her sisters, each held in the same Love.
